The Paz Foundation Named as an NGO of the United Nations Economic and Social Council
The Paz Foundation has been named as an NGO of the Economic and Social Council [ECOSOC] on Women and Children’s Affairs. The Foundation received a letter of nomination by the United Nations on June 2019.
The qualification process took over two years and a lot of writing and documentation that had to be submitted in order to move from phase to phase of the approval process.
Our organization has initiated programs for Protecting, Educating and Empowering Women and Children along other foundations around from around the World. As a result, our Social programs and works are what have qualified us to be named as a United Nations NGO.
What is the UN Economic and Social Council?
The UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC; French: Conseil économique et social des Nations unies, CESNU) is one of the six principal organs of the United Nations. ECOSOC is responsible for coordinating the economic and social fields of the organization. Specifically in regards to the 15 specialized agencies, the eight functional commissions and the five regional commissions under its jurisdiction.
The Council serves as the central forum for discussing international economic and social issues. We are formulating policy recommendations addressed to member states and the United Nations system. A number of non-governmental organizations . Those who qualify have have been granted consultative status to the Council to participate in the work of the United Nations.
We are looking forward to working with various international agencies and Foundation to improve the lives of thousands of Women and Children. Also, men that have been victims of abuse, violence, exploitation or economic and health calamities are welcome to our Foundation.
Finally, we invite all persons to donate via our website, volunteer or offer suggestions. Our mission is to better the lives of hundreds of thousands of women and children worldwide. Our organization is very proud of our associates and volunteers and we are looking forward to a prosperous and productive New Year 2020.
